Application of chemical coagulation to phosphorus removal from glyphosate wastewater

چکیده
Glyphosate, the most widely used herbicide in world, is routinely applied to control weeds both agricultural and urban settings. Glyphosate wastewater that has been treated with Fenton’s reagent a high phosphorus content potential cause environmental pollution. However, concentration means it may be possible recover from glyphosate-rich wastewater. To date there have relatively few studies on removal glyphosate We therefore carried out pilot scale study investigate recovery this using chemical coagulation evaluated effect of various parameters, such as initial pH, reaction time, coagulant dosage type coagulant. The experimental results demonstrate total efficiency about 68% was achieved for glycine efficiencies N-(Phosphonomethyl) iminodiacetic acid containing 6% exceeded 90% under optimal conditions.

Application of Chemical Coagulation Process for Direct Dye Removal from Textile Wastewater
Introduction: Since some dyes and their metabolites have toxicity and carcinogenicity potential, and are dangerous to the health of different living creatures, discharge of untreated wastewaters containing large concentrations of dye compounds into water resources is one of the important environmental problems. Therefore, in this research, the efficiency of chemical coagulation process was inve...
متن کاملInvestigating the efficiency of chemical coagulation/Electro-Fenton process in the removal of organic matter from pharmaceutical industry wastewater
Background and Objective: Wastewater from pharmaceutical industry has high chemical oxygen demand as a result of the presence of organic drugs and antibiotics. In order to meet the environmental requirements, several treatment methods like chemical and electrochemical methods have been widely applied due to their high ability to remove organic compounds from pharmaceutical wastewater. Therefore...
متن کاملPhosphorus Removal from Dairy Wastewater in Batch Systems under Simultaneous Aerobic/Anaerobic Conditions: Application of Response Surface Methodology
The objective of this paper is simultaneous of aerobic and anaerobic process for phosphorus removal from a dairy wastewater. The system consists of a granular sequencing batch reactor (SBR) working under alternating aerobic/anaerobic conditions. In order to analyze the process, four significant variables viz. MLSS, COD/N ratio, aeration time and cycling time and four dependent parameters as the...
متن کاملAssessment of Endotoxin Removal from Reclaimed Wastewater Using Coagulation-Flocculation
Following biological treatment, wastewater continues to have endotoxic active materials. However, because there is a trend of potable reuse and because endotoxic active materials potentially have harmful effects on human health, their removal from water is crucial. Lipopolysaccharide endotoxin has hydrophobic groups, and their removal using a coagulation-flocculation alternative is believed to ...
متن کاملApplication of Magnesium Modified Corn Biochar for Phosphorus Removal and Recovery from Swine Wastewater
The recycling of lost phosphorus (P) is important in sustainable development. In line with this objective, biochar adsorption is a promising method of P recovery. Therefore, our study investigates the efficiency and selectivity of magnesium modified corn biochar (Mg/biochar) in relation to P adsorption. It also examines the available P derived from postsorption Mg/biochar. Mg/biochar is rich in...
